R.I.P. Bea Arthur

The New York Times is reporting that Bea Arthur has passed away at the age of 86.

Arthur won a Tony Award for her portrayal of Vera Charles in the musical Mame, opposite Angela Lansbury.  She is known to TV audiences as Maude Findlay from All in the Family/Maude and Dorothy Zbornak from The Golden Girls.
