Broadway presented by [Insert Corporation Name Here]

Broadway’s Hilton Theatre is being renamed!

It is now to be called The Foxwoods Theatre, in a multi-year agreement that grants Foxwoods Resort Casino the exclusive naming rights to the theatre on 42nd Street in Manhattan.

This is no surprise considering that this particular theatre has been a corporate branding staple since it was reopened, after an expensive renovation and refurbishment, in 1998 as the Ford Center for the Performing Arts.  After a few years, the naming rights were up for grab and Hilton took the marquee.

It would be nice if the theatre could house at least one hit show.  It’s had as many names as tenants.
