Daddycatcher’s Trip to OHIO

Posted in Life in General on June 30, 2009 by Daddycatcher

Daddycatcher has finally found out the reason why Ruth and Eileen left Ohio?

Cincinnati Skyline
And if you don’t get the reference, then you should listen to a recording of Wonderful Town.

Kidding!!!

However, Daddycatcher would like to give a huge congratulations to his best friend on his first big directorial project in the Cincinnati area.

Loved hanging out at Below Zero Lounge, where Daddycatcher tried out some new karaoke song choices.  Lounged by the pool at Adonis.  And tried out some of Cincinnati’s famous chili at Skyline.

Daddycatcher missed blogging while he was away but hopes everyone had a happy and safe Gay Pride in NYC.

Daddycatcher’s CATCH OF THE DAY: Antonio Banderas

Antonio Banderas was interviewed by the New York Post as he is promoting a new movie and had this to say about his early 80’s gay roles:

I felt very early on in my professional life that where there were limits, there shouldn’t have been limits. I remember in ‘Law of Desire,’ where I played a homosexual, that people were more upset that I kissed a man on the mouth than I killed a man. It’s interesting to see how people can pardon you for murdering a man, but they can’t pardon you for kissing one. It’s a very interesting approach to morality in our days, so you see there is an incredible amount of hypocritical judgment over those things.

Daddycatcher’s favorite line from the interview:

But I was never afraid of that to tell you the truth. I tried to do it with dignity and present my character in the way he was written, regardless of who he slept with.

During this time of Pride, let us not forgot to thank our straight supporters who are fighting alongside us for equal rights.

Thank you!

Daddycatcher’s MUSICAL MONDAY: “If You Were Gay” from AVENUE Q

Daddycatcher was so caught up with his sex dream about Cheyenne Jackson that he forgot about his MUSICAL MONDAY clip.

In honor of Gay Pride week in NYC, Daddycatcher presents this gay gem from Avenue Q.

Only in Dreams!

Daddycatcher had a really explicit sex dream last night about Cheyenne Jackson.

And not the kind that you wake up from right before you do it! Oh no, Daddycatcher did it! And then Daddycatcher walked the “Walk of Shame” after it.

Even in dreams, reality still seems to take hold.

Blackberry Anonymous

Posted in Life in General on June 22, 2009 by Daddycatcher

The New York Times has an interesting article on how Blackberrys have infiltrated the work space.

Employers weigh in heavily about their annoyance with employees using Blackberrys and iPhones during meetings.

As Daddycatcher read this, he could hear the disapproving voice of his boss saying…

“Put down the Blackberry and watch where you are going!”

“My eyes are up here not in your palm.”

“You never see [Daddycatcher] without booze or the Blackberry in his hand.”

Yes, the Blackberry is addicting. But there are so many things you can do with it. Brickbreaker. Scheduling. Work e-mail. Personal e-mail. Read Perez. Surf the net. Play music. Talk to other people via Blackberry Messenger.

Cynthia Nixon was able to multi-task life and her Blackberry when Daddycatcher worked on a show with her. She is able to maneuver through life with grace and intelligence.

Daddycatcher strives to be as proficient at Blackberry juggling as Ms. Nixon.

Or he could just listen to his boss and put it down every once in a while.

At least Daddycatcher turns it off at the theatre. He isn’t that addicted!
