Put the show out of its misery!

Producers of the Broadway revival of David Mamet’s play American Buffalo , starring John Leguizamo, Cedric the Entertainer, and Haley Joel Osment, announced yesterday that is was closing the show after its first week of regular performances on November 23rd.

Now comes word from Playbill that the producers will not decide on the fate of the show until the following day – November 24th.  They are hoping for an increase in sales.  Daddycatcher appreciates the optimism; especially in an industry where at least one show a week posts a closing notice.  This week’s latest victim13 the Musical.

However, as a co-worker of Daddycatcher said in response to the latest American Buffalo news: “There’s more drama in that press release than there is in the entire show.”

Most of the New York critics felt the same way.  We’ll just have to wait until November 24th to find out.

Daddycatcher would like to send out a visual shout-out to his best friend A Dangerous Sidekick.
