So technically Follies month is over, but “Ah, But Underneath” was a number that was written for the London production in the place of “The Story of Lucy and Jessie.” It has been used in several productions but never in a Broadway production of the show.
However, the song was featured in the 2010 Broadway revue Sondheim on Sondheim sung by the amazing Vanessa Williams.

We continue Follies month with the cast of the 1998 Paper Mill Playhouse revival – Natalie Mosco, Donald Saddler, Liliane Montevecchi, and Kaye Ballard – performing what is commonly known as the Montage.
